Zambia has seen a steady increase in the number positive COVID-19 cases. KCIA in partnership with Paediatric Adolescent Treatment Africa (PATA) using the Clinic-Community Collaboration approach donated Face masks, Aprons, Hand sanitizers and Hand washing buckets to the Front-line Health care workers at Chazanga Health Centre. This was aimed at minimizing the risk of exposure to COVID-19.
On the other hand, provision of remote psycho-social services to HIV+ adolescents and young people has been embarked on. This is in order to ensure continuous mental health support which is not being provided on a face to face basis because of the long term supply of ARVs to stable clients.
Further, KCIA is also participating in creating community awareness
